Fun with Air Tight Tags

Check out this little app when you get a chance. Kudos to Max for pointing this out.

Without going into much detail, Air Tight takes advantage of Flickr’s open apis and means for content organization referred to as tagging. Flickr, a photo sharing/photo blog service allows the submitter to categorize their pictures. For example, as opposed to Flickr allowing you to choose from a predetermine set of categories; Flickr turns the categorization all over to their users. Like tags are then groups into what are called folksonomies as opposed to the traditional taxonomy.

Anyway…probably lost a few here but anyway play around with this. Type in San Francisco, or Jayhawks, or Amarillo and have some fun with it.
